The former president's Family Member Seeks Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star maintains considerable social media audience
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known supporters as she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates multiple international courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa essentially suggested to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
However she can get advice from golf legend, who is dating her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better individual. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to new audiences, especially with youth audiences.
The young star maintains a massive following and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
