British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos confirmed on Wednesday night. The athlete was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his close associates.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
